About Euonymus fortunei ‘Coloratus’
This low maintenance evergreen plant is called Euonymus fortunei ‘Coloratus’. While considered a bush, this low-spreading variety is also popular for its use as a durable groundcover. Its average landscape size reaches 2′ by 8′ and is densely packed with deep green, saw-toothed edged leaves. As the cooler winter months approach the color of the leaves turn from emerald green to a rich plum, much like the common name describes. The Purpleleaf Wintercreeper is considered quite hardy that even the most novice landscaper can keep it alive.
