This evergreen, climbing shrub is known as Sollya heterophylla ‘Monterey Bay’. Commonly known as Australian Bluebell Creeper, this variety can be grown both as a vine or as a shrub. When grown as a shrub it reaches an average mature landscape size of 3-5′ tall by 3-5′ wide while when grown as a vine with some support it can reach as tall as 6′. Its distinguishable blue flowers shaped like bells bloom during the summer season while its narrow green foliage is evergreen. This variety is cold hardy to temperatures as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit and drought tolerant but only after its first few growing seasons and can tolerate coastal conditions such as wind and salt spray.

Care And Planting Instructions
