This compact formed shrub is known as Berberis thunbergii ‘Concorde’ or commonly as Concorde Japanese Barberry. Its dramatic purple foliage is accompanied by yellow flowers that bloom during the spring months. Following its blooming period you can expect small red berries to appear. Reaching an average mature landscape size of 1.5-2′ by 1.5-2′, this compact barberry is densely packed and grows in a rounded form at a moderate rate.
