Eremophila glabra ‘Grey Horizon’ (Gray Emu Bush)

This tall groundcover is called Eremophila glabra ‘Grey Horizon’. Native to the drier areas of Australia, this plant also is commonly known as Gray Emu Bush. Its evergreen, green leaves are densely covered with white hairs that give the foliage a greyish tone. Blooming in the winter and spring seasons, yellow flowers with peach tinged ends emerge growing the length of its foliage. Hardy to temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit and drought tolerant, this interesting low growing shrub reaches an average mature landscape size of 0.5-1′ x 4-6′.

Care and planting instructions

Plant Gray Emu Bush in an area that receives full sun to partial shade using well-draining soil. Water regularly after planting to help establish it in its new location then reduce frequency to occasional. This plant is drought tolerant and can withstand  A relatively easy care plant, pruning isn’t required but to maintain a fresh look, prune back end in the summer or fall seasons.
