About Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Elfin’ (Elfin Kohuhu Pittosporum) 

This compact evergreen is a Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Elfin’ PP21822. Its slender black branches are topped with small green elliptical leaves outlined in pale green. This plant is a dwarf tenufolium, about 1/3 the size of the standard Pittosporum, reaching an average landscape size of 2′ by 2′. It is a great substitution for the Pittosporum tenufolium ‘Golf Ball’ as it shares many of the same characteristics.

Care Instructions

Plant Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Elfin’ in well-draining soil and water after the soil has dried completely. This variety is both heat-tolerant and shade tolerant giving you freedom to plant almost anywhere. While generally a low-maintenance plant, you can prune it to a desired shape.

Planting Ideas

This plant looks great year-round planted as a low hedge framing a driveway, walkway or even a flower bed. It also looks great in large formal gardens, in containers and, with a little shearing can be an easy choice for landscape designs with clean geometric shapes.
