Commonly known as Elijah Blue Festuca, you can expect this fast growing plant to reach an average landscape size of 8-12″ by 8-12″. During the late summer you can find little brown flowers bloom atop long wheat-like stems.
Plant Festuca glauca ‘Elijah Blue’ in average, well-drained soil in full sun. Water regularly when planted to establish a healthy root system then reduce frequency. Be careful not to overwater the plant as it doesn’t tolerate soggy soil. This plant is moderately drought-tolerant withstanding short periods of drought or extreme heat without being affected.
